Good advice there Graeme--leave them as is. Start a section that is unrestored pumps. Down the road, they will be more valuable than if you restored them!

It would be a sin to restore them. Sell them or trade them off if you really want a restoration project!

Agreed. Those pumps are a dime a dozen in restorable condition. In that condition they are actually of value. Someone please take those away from him before he ruins em! Build another building to hide all these nice pumps in if you're embarrassed to show your friends and only show them the shiny pumps. Fill the back shop up with these and you'll realize in a while that you did the right thing! Nice finds!

yep, anybody & everybody can have shiny restored pumps,... but the unrestored pumps like you have pictured are few and far between. a few yrs from now you will regret restoring those 3 pumps. chris

Being a B/A collector, those two Bennetts are just awesome. I had a Bennett like those, that was missing one door and had a Gulf decal on the existing door, when I pulled the Gulf decal off, there was an original B/A 88 decal underneath. I just cleaned it up and left it as is. Unfortunately I ended up having to sell it and my other unrestored pumps before I got a door for it. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if you kept the matching B/A's intact. Oh yeah, another great haul there Graeme.

Good advice which is always appreciated. They will be left as survivors. Now the question is, remove the pumps or leave them intact?

Also not embarrassed to show these at all Clint. smile

OK enough pump talk in BOTW. Back to show and tell lol. Here is an NOS 3'x5' Marfak sign dated 47. Came today. Thanks to several olgassers suggestions I was able to clean the bubble wrap circles off the painted finish and got it looking pretty good in the process.

Graeme, you have it bad....pump addiction. You are still thinking (day dreaming) about your gas pumps. That is a Marfax SIGN.

Yeah, he has it bad. I wonder how long before he sell the 55 Chevy to make room for pumps.

Wow! You are really addicted to pumps!!! Id rather be addicted to oil cans, because they don't take up as much room... Have fun with your pumps!!!

Looking for any cans! PM me what ya got!
