This is the third Socony gasoline sign I found this summer. Its getting to be slim picking at the spot I found'em at...so it seems anyway. I should focus on this area more but Ive been looking around for some new places to dig.

NOTHING SPECIAL!?? What makes that sign special is that you found it in the earth and with a little labor from your own two hands--you were able to make it your own! I think thats a lot more special than buying it from ebay or someones collection!!! Congratulations!

Im glad you guys like it. I should rephrase what I said. After finding some of these before they arent as exciting to find as a diffrent sign would be. Its still why I dig so I geuss it is pretty d@mn special! but it couldve been a mobiloil gargoyle......

I try not to look forward to finding any one brand in general. Unless Ive found them before in a area the first dig is always a gamble. One of those "stand up under fire" signs would be a awesome find!
