Under Online Auctions Roger posed a thread about a ford sign.

Seller also has a Texaco sign with the dogs listening, I am thinking it is fantasy?? Anyone ever see a real one like this??

I'm a Texaco collector and sign collector and have never seen this sign before as a fantasy or original. I am not from London so it might be real. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole with just a picture and some guy across the ocean saying it is real. My 2 cents. Ted

There was a guy at Columbus who had the sign with the dogs. It looked legit to me. But
so did the last repop I bought.

I've never seen an actual example of the sign in question, so would not venture to guess as to this one's authenticity. The Texas Company did, however, use the two Scotties in their advertising for a number of years in the 1920s and 30s (long before the advent of the Dalmation pups).
