Well the Veeder-Root is finished.I set the price at 29.9 and used my drill to run up 10 gallons and the sale was exactly $2.99.I will have to wait a while to motorize it and build a display case as I have won a Sunoco plastic sign and need to build light box for it.Every time I have 1 project,I end up with 3 or 4.Go figure.Enjoy the pictures.

Thanks Joe for the compliment.I got my inspiration from your beautiful work. When I finally finished my Sunoco Custom Blended pump and installed the pump faces it was kinda of a letdown. All the work I had done you could not see.So that's why I did the computer with all that BLING so I could display it.I understand the price you charge after doing one my self,I have under $75.00 including the computer invested but the man hours are killer.Terry

VERY labor intensive, and you did the easy model. If that goes to $1.99 9/10 it is a 2002 If it goes to $2.99 9/10 it is a 2002-E But it is a Semi-Automatic.
The other day I timed myself. I had all parts ready to install into a head that had been cleaned & checked out ok, indented wheels, blinders, totalizer etc. were ready to install. It took me 24 minutes to build the head. BUT to clean & prep all the parts takes forever.

The only thing similar is the Face plate BAR bracket, totalizer wheels. Variator guts will be similar to the other. BUT.... the head will have to be "timed"...he he he

That thing looks awesome! Definitely something to be proud of.
Question on the cleaning part, did you polish most of the metal, or did the aluminum wheel cleaner take care of most of the tarnish? I have pulled the VR out of my new pump and am going to give cleaning it a go.

The aluminum cleaner only removes slight tarnish close to factory look, the shine is chrome paint allowed to dry for about a week. The paint does not hold up well in weather.I did this to be a glass encased display. You could do it in chrome powered coat, being careful to plug holes. If you are just going to clean it I would remove all price wheels before cleaning. The cleaners will remove paint from the wheels. Thanks Terry
