As my son told me about hauling cheap pumps to the scrapyard when I told him they weren't worth much: "By the time I'm as old as you they will be! I bet someone said the same thing about a lot of your pumps 30 years ago!" He has now inherited several of these "valuable" pumps.

Wow, is scrap that high down there? These are pumps muscle car guys are starting to look for. In decent shape they bring 150 to 200 easy.

Still looking for that Union 76 ball

I agree. I like them and have a small stash of the late 60's pumps.

I bought this pump for $50 I don't have it yet but the guy I bought it from said there are no markings on it. This is exactly the kind of pump I was looking for. When I was in high school, I filled my 65 mustang fastback from a pump just like this!

I've found & sold 4 stainless pumps w/guts in the last year alone.
I paid $2-$300 ea.,then sold them for almost double.

Here's my as found unrestored Sunoco/DX 1965 AO Smith L-505 w/guts,that I'm keeping for myself. smile

I think he's already stated it has a WAYNE ID tag.
Plus it's been my experience A.O.Smith didn't put the key lock on the face frame.
A.O.Smith & some others, put their key lock on top of the lower doors.
