I have always rebuilt the crankback computers.
I have only rebuilt mayby 4-5 #56, which is the newer design with larger wheels. I have no intention on building anymore. I like to stay w/ the crankbacks because thst is what I know and that is what I am set up (tooling)to build.
As later model pumps are being collected there should start being a need to rebuild them ,Is anyone doing this?

If anyone would like to start I would be more than happy to share what info I have for them. I will say this too...there are more available parts, They are easier to rebuild, and to teardown.
I have several wheels that you can have too.

I have also seen a trend in crankback computers.
Over the years most people would use a decent looking computer in a pump,
and as these dryed up I am now seeing a lOT of junk computers.
I get more flat wheel computers v/s indented now.

When my house is finished I will be looking for an aprentice to start teaching this to,
my son has no interest in them, so I want to find a decent young person to continue into the future.
