I guess being on TV gives the pump celebrity status therefore increasing it's value by 4 times what it is worth. LOL

Buying: Polarine / Red Crown Gasoline Globes and Signs, Early Chevrolet & United Motors Signs, and 1910's through 1940's Gas & Oil Signs.

This is in the sellers description of their pump-

"These gas and oil pumps were recovered from a cotton gin in Watkinsville, Georgia. The cotton gin was invented in 1793 by Eli Whitney. It used a combination of wire screens and small wire hooks to separate cotton fibers from their seeds. These fibers would then be processed into cloth. Whitney's gin revolutionized the cotton industry and played an important role in the history of the American south"

What? What? WHAT? Whats that got to do with the price of rice in China on a rainy day? This TV fad IS funny. They dont say anything about the Bennett pump company. Just call it a Dino pump. I can hear the lucky buyer now- "MY Dino pump has a lot of Provenance!" And I got it for only 2 thousand dollars! lol.
