Just picked up this nice TRITON masonite sign. Got some galvanized pipe parts and built a bracket. Any ideas for making some period correct hanging hardware from pipe to sign? Nylon ties are a little modern. Baling wire is a little crude. Thanks, Jim

How about just 3/16 or 1/4 inch round cold rolled. Bend an "S" to suit your taste.

I would go with Randy's suggestion. Take flat steel stock and form it around the pipe (with some clearance so that the sign will be able to swivel) and have tails drop down that loosely sandwich the sign between them. Radius the ends on the steel stock brass or stainless screws through the bracket and sign grommets.

The straps that go on the end poles of chain link fencing look very original, and are already galvanized.
