I had a chance to do a bit of horse-trading on Saturday night when a buddy of mine from British Columbia came through town. He was interested in a few porcelain signs that I was parting with and he wanted to take them home. We agreed on a price and he paid me just over half and I took these three globes in trade for the other half. The Purity 99 and the BA Peerless Ethyl are only single lenses but singles are better than none. So I have now just squeezed three more globes into the collection. At least they are not sitting on the floor, yet! Cheers, Don.
ps: No they didn't stay on top of the freezer either.

I didn't think I'd ever find a hancock sign at a good price, but you just never know what you will find out there. Had another good week the hancock and dx are ruff, but the price was perfect!!The bubble up's are Nos, and I've never seen that shell before.
That Purity 99 is very cool!!

Nice globes Don!

I did a little buying of my own today at auction and brought home a Gamewell Fire Box, some Coke stuff, and a few cans & signs from the auction. Also bought this 6 foot Porcelain Mobil Pegasus sign that I plan to resell or use as trade material on a nice Red Indian sign. Fun day for sure and some decent items.

(Are these Red Indian or Texaco Signs? Red Indian I'm told?)

(Buffalo Tins which are the first ones for my collection)

Pretty cool box to display with the tins)

(Six foot Pegasus in real nice original condition)

Picked up a hole collection of pump plates, 30" Conoco (with green ethyl logo not black), Early Firestone and a Goodrich flange. May sell some of the pump plates.

Graeme, are your No Smoking signs dated in the bottom corner? Mine is P & M Orillia 56, so it is a probably a McColl Frontenac/Texaco one; Red Indian started to be phased out in '47. Possibly used at the bulk stations. Some great scores there people. Keep them coming! Cheers, Don.

Don,

The older (2) are marked V.E.P. Ltd of Orillia and dated 1945, and the newest one is a P&M Orillia dated 54. I'm thinking the first two are Red Indian and the last is Texaco Bulk.

picked up some items at hershey i am thrilled to have. Freedom to go with my unique freedom small oiler. 1949 Wolf's head and 1948 4' Kelly (with original bracket i am certain) to match up period wise to my 1949 truck. My wife picked herself the Supreme Flange and Amalie. Thrilled to get some Amoco signs. Added some nice cans and a nice banner for the collection too. Had a great time there!

Got a few items I'd been wanting - nice gargoyle box & some bottles and at the same auction this odd pump, and a little thermometer that will look great in my collection of them.

I hit some auction sales the past 2 weekends and did pretty well.
The early Champlain sign, Standard Flame, and garage sign , all came from an antique sale here in North Dakota this past weekend.
I was also at the really "BIG" sale over in Minnesota and I'm not really a can collector, but I couldn't pass these 3 nice cams up and then the Gillette sign came up near the end of the sale and I'd been wanting one for a long time and the quality was right on this one!

Here's my buy of the week. It's an early 60s Gulf pump made by Southwest. I'm gonna restore it sometime this winter.
