Not sure if this has been covered before or not. My can guide (first pic) shows me the cans from this era having the red on the bottom (with the exception of the one later '59 can). But it may not be telling the whole story.
This guy has several cans listed (230864428343 second pic) with the red on the top. Are these repops or is there more to the story?
Does anyone have a guide showing cans with the red on the top?

The can pictured at the bottom is not a repop. These cans generally have the opposite colors on each side. If you are looking at one side of the can the red is on the top and the other the white is on the top.

I must have looked at 20 of these cans and never noticed that. I dug a little deeper into some different ebay listings and found this.
Like I said, learn something every day!! smile
