Mick--Makes me want to move to Minnesota! Is that near your place? Maybe you should buy it and convert it into living quarters with gas & oil memorabilia all over the house! Have I hatched a plan here?

Ed, your models alway amaze me with the Great Attention to Detail you put in them.
You should start a thread with pictures of all the Station Models you have done.
Keep up the Great Work!

If I am remembering correctly, that station that Ed did actually exsists in Richmond. When Bob and I visited Ed, it was one of the stations I didn't get a picture of. Too much fast traffic.
It's a teeny tiny structure.

Nicole , you're thinking of "Triangle Filling Station " . It's at the three corners of 25th street , "P " street , and Burton Street. Yes, it's still hanging in there . Ed Shaver

I just finished perusing through the above link. Wow, that's just unreal.
Ed, how many hours did you have into the Fish Inn start to finish? I would imagine that you probably invest quite a bit of time into the research and planning even before the actual building of the diorama/model begins.
You must have a large building to display and store these diorama's?
Your attention to detail and accuracy to the history is evident throughout the construction and finished diorama.

Mick, you are a good friend to all on Oldgas!
You went out of your way to take the photos and then to share them with the Membership. You have gone "above and beyond, the call of duty"...
Thanks for sharing your photos!
PS: Now work on Maria, and buy the Station.... LOL

Isn't this in Highland Park Il? Many are familiar w/it and talked about it for decades. Heard it was going to be deemed a national landmark and not torn down. Hope that hasn't changed..
