Does anyone make these new any more? I've seen the ones in the catalogs that are straight, but wayne 80's don't have much clearance for an elbow. [This message has been edited by Mike Browning (edited 01-07-2008).]

I have the porcelain part (new), if you want to rebuild them. But if you want more of them, no I've never seen them.

Mike, If nobody comes up with new, I have a ton of good used ones. I will check but I think those are the same as used on tall Tokheim 39's. Tom.

I doubt anybody will find them new unless you have them made. I have spent many hours looking for those things.

Mike:
Just go to Home Depot/Lowe's and buy a new straight porcelain socket.
Swap out the porcelian and the internals from the new one onto the old elbow and you golden.
I usually sandblast the elbow when everything is apart to clean it up - but that's all there is to it.
If you can't get the small brass screws inside to release - just use a very small die-grinder bit and grind the heads off. Once you get the old socket off, you can squirt the threads and use a pair of vise-grips to wiggle the threaded portion loose.
I've only lost one in all the years I've been doing this.
Later . . .
Jim

I checked and they are the same. I would imagine they are fairly universal. These came from tall Tokheim 39's. This is just one small pile, I have case loads of them. Tom.

I need to come see you some time. I live in central illinois, but my son and his family live in your backyard of New Pal. I'd be interested in a few of these and a sight gauge manifold for a 39. We need to do a little pencil sharpening though. I may have some trade material. I'll let you know when I am visiting him. It will be sometime in Feb. Thanks
