What years did Sinclair use the black dinosaur on their products, like in the photo below? What was the last year it was used before going to the green dinosaur?

First off, the above sign is not an original old Sinclair sign. Sinclair used the black dinosaur on this style of can for Pennsylvania grade motor oil and about during the same time frame used a white or red dinosaur on their Opaline grade oil.
The collecting oil cans book shows these type cans were used from about 1935-1945. (page 127)
