Noah, did you try soaking them with penetrating oil? Or are they rounded? Do you have a torch to use? Maybe rather than using a cutting torch you can just heat them. Sometimes even heating them up real good causes them to expand and when they contract they break free of each other. When you use heat, its best to heat the female part the most so it expands more-just like in real life. Ha. Even a little propane torch might help, although they dont throw as much heat as ox/gas torches and a bit tougher to pinpoint the flame. Dont give up. A saw should work but once you commit to the saw, theres usually no going back to the wrench and depending on where the fastener is located sometimes I got half the nut sawed off and couldnt get the last little bit cut through. Also they go dull quick. Just trying to help you. Good luck.

If you do not have a torch at your disposal and the rusty heads are rounding pound on a old six point impact (black)socket that is one size smaller with a hammer. The socket will grip the bolt and the shock of hitting the fastener might help break it loose.

You can always grind the heads off of bolts that literally won't move if they are stripped. Be sure you only grind bolts with nuts on the back, because if you just start grinding off random ones that are screwed into threaded holes, you probably won't ever get what is left of them out. Use a angle grinder and be careful

All of those are mild steel bolts (this is before the days of hardened steel bolts). I find the easiest way to remove a lot of the bolts that you can get at the bolt head and nut is to simply tighten them. They break in less then a quarter turn. No fuss, no mess.
Bolts such as those holding the frame rails to the base (that don't utilize nuts) is to use penetrating fluid (WD40 or even engine oil) spray it a few times each day for several days.
Heat from even a small propane plumbing torch will help. Like already stated you want to heat the nut (so it expands away from the bolt thus releasing the bolt).

With all that information you should be able to remove the motor and pumping unit. If not load it up and take it Dick Bennett's house .I under stand at Iowa gas that was a part time job for him.
Good Luck Gene

This action was caught out the window of the Holiday Inn at IG 2011. I believe the perps were never apprehended as they used a small scooter to make a clean getaway! This is a fast and efficient crew that had this pump dismantled in a matter of minutes! LOL

OH man I remember that day! They sent me on that scooter to get my socket wrench set. When I brought it back one of them (I forgot who- opened up the case upside down and all the sockets went flying out ROTFnotL. The torch wrench would have been faster. Dick took a perm. marking pen and wrote (open this side only) on one half of the case. Everytime I use the socket set now I thing back on that day.
