I would like to trade stuff for a original globe body for my pump. I have lots of cans, a pump, and tons of patches! PM me if you have one!

Thanks

13.5", and I don't care if is glass, or metal. And if glass, would like it black, or white. It is for the golden rule lens on my aviator pic.

13.5 metals are repo and glass bodies only come in white unless you are looking for a ripple body and black was not one of the colors.

For your 50's short electric pump, what you have (plastic body) is period correct. Also most economical choice. You can use the money you save towards the restoration.

Noah, instead of buying any books just yet. I suggest you invest in the new Globe CD of Scott and Wayne....

I'm not a "Globe Guy" per se. But I can honestly say; That this CD is a great investment....

Noah, from what I've read.... Everyone is giving you great advise...

IMO, Collectors in this Hobby go through different stages as they collect.... As such, it is very easy to get overwhelmed.

All too often the "new Collector" will try to add items to their Collections too quickly... When this happens, mistakes can be made... Paying too much for items or seeing items without really looking closely at them and in the end buying a fake/fantasy and/or "refurbished" item that is really in the long run not worth owning...

Hopefully you have a long future in the Hobby.... Taking a little time and having some patience now.... Should help you out as you progress with your Collecting....

(honestly... I am envious of you... I remember when I started collecting.... Items were at times difficult to find... You have started collecting at a time where because of sites like Oldgas and Ebay, gas shows and the internet.... The "whole Collecting World" is laid like a buffet before you.... Just take a "step back" and enjoy..... I honestly think that you will be happier, if you slow down some and take a couple deep, deep breaths)

But, I'm an "Old Fart" and I sometimes, (too often) poke my nose into other people's business......
