My bad
I think it's MobilGas
I'll take a pic and post tomorrow subject to weather.
It is dated 32 and it is essentially NOS never hung condition.
The key I've noticed is when these 30-50's shields and signs like the one I scored have bright colors with no fade.
Sooo many do
This is day1 color and gloss.
Came from an old timer that hung signs as his family biz back in the day.
He saved a bunch and then fell in love with signs and then started hitting shows acquiring and trading.

That is killer
What's the size? I'm assuming it's a pump plate

I pretty much agree with what's been posted above. I'd add that Socony and Vacuum merged in 1931, but operated pretty much "as is" until 1934, when Socony-Vacuum began integrating the 2 companies into one. There's a magazine ad dated 1934 entitled "Pegasus Flies Again" that explains the Pegasus from Greek mythology and "introduces" the red Pegasus as the symbol of Mobilgas....and mentions that the red Gargoyle has been the symbol of Mobiloil lubricants for years.

It measures 48 cm, appr. 18.9x18.9 inches. Heres a photo showing it mounted on a shop that opened in 1947.
