http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Gulf-Clock-Ingram-Gully-Gulf-Sign-From-Murphy-N-C-/160924454362...it might have been a cool clock - before this was done to it...someone had found a lot of stencils, that they were selling on eBay as 'signs', looks like someone used one on this clock...I mean, that's just awful...'one of their pickers' is making out like a bandit... ...damn, I just checked out their 'completed listings', and they're even worse...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

They have sold some real garbage thermometers in the past. Their proffesional restorations look like hand painted stuff a 5 yesr old could do.
see me at Mason Dixon Gas, Spring Carlisle M114-115, and Hershey C4E-35.

First one is killer rare 20" porcelain thermometer......a masterpiece of americana. 100% old and real and sold on ebay 1 month ago. A lot of people were watching including piedmont restorations. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Great-Heart-Coal...=item3f1e3ca297Second i am 90% is a gaff. I wish i had it my hands to prove it. lettering looks hand painted. Size of the piece should keep price down. These guys have a track record of putting $$$ in priority position and the fellow collector out in the weather. Do your own decision making. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vintage-Gre...=item2578815544

No doubt. The second one is a faked out item made by "pied on restorations". All the fonts are wrong, even the two e's don't match. What a crook.
