I don't know if this has been done before or not, but I thought it might be fun.

You might be a petro collector if...
In order to take a bath, you had to spend 10 minutes cleaning off the caulk that was stuck to the bottom of the bathtub from the last glass globe body you cleaned in it.

That's all I have (wonder what made me think of it...LOL), but I know we've got some pretty creative people here. Let's see if we can all have a good laugh with this!

Your COLLECTION is in the GARAGE, instead of the car[s].

Your wife knows what these terms mean... 'Gill body', 'Veeder-Root', 'Volumeter', "canadian twin'.

If you have the local paint shop as #2 on your speed dial.

If seasons are measured by the time until the next gas show.

If as you are traveling, your son spots old barns, bulk plants and other hiding places for pumps.

If you carry photos of your collection in your phone's memory.

If you watch old movies just to point out the make, model and company brand of petro stuff in the background.

1. Your most frequently used words are Wayne, Tokheim, and Gilbarco.
2. Instead of a floor lamp in the living room, you have a pump with a lighted globe in its place.
3. Your front door handle is a brass gas pump nozzle.
4. You have catalogs of repro petro parts in the bathroom for reading material.
5. One of your petro signs is more valuable than your wife's wedding ring.

Enjoy!!!!! =:> ) Dave Folck

When you have pictures of your favorite pump in your wallet.

You have to move the pump stuff to be able to cook supper.

You feel guilty when you don't spend more time with your latest petro project.

You can tell your wife/girlfriend that you will be gone from sunup to sundown looking for pump junk and she believes you.

When you want your coffin/headstone to look like an A-38, and your epitaph says "He ran out of gas"

Dick,

It's been a while since I first posted this, but now seems like the perfect time to do it again...

Unfortunately, it had to be censored, as this is a family-friendly site...
