Hi, showing my scripophily collection of old stocks and bonds. Did an Oldgas search and the topic hasn't been covered in years ( probably because nobody has interest in collecting them and nobody cares ) LoL So, thought I would show a topic that isn't covered regularly, for the few that might. Hopefully, add to Oldgas in the process. Scripophily, became a tie in collection for me. I collect old paper currency and petrol, so figured that I needed one more thing to collect. Paper stocks and bonds have became a thing of the past. I play around on Scottrade and everything is done electronically, now. I never see the paper stocks or a profit.(lol) But, resigned to the fact that its the same as going to a casino. Not every oil and gas company issued a stock or bond only ones that needed to raise capital. There is 47 different stocks/bonds in my collection. It's fun to research how the company's have merged over the years. Example, Sunray oil co. became Sunray Mid-Continent Oil Co. then Sunray DX oil Co. A Standard Oil stock hand signed by Rockefeller, would be the holy grail of oil/gas scripophily. Stocks/bonds can be saved in a binder with clear pages so you can see both sides. Make sure it's a acid free clear page so it will not damage the paper. feel free to post pics of your old stocks/bonds Happy New Yrs ! Roger

Interesting topic that has not been discussed in a long while.
I see these in my searches for Ohio Oil items from time to time. Always seems to me sellers are asking more than I am willing to give for them. To me they would not be worth more than any other advertisement of the period.
What is a fair value on an average piece without a "Rockefeller" type signature?
This is the only one I have and it is embedded in a large piece of acrylic. Doesn't fit in a binder very well.
Chuck
