Hi Guys..yes Bob Drake is the Moderator of the Showcase and stories thread and I moderate the general petro
discussion thread and of Course Jim potts Moderates the whole site. My guess is Jims server is having problems or
is being updated so please be patient. Sorry for any inconvenience. Bob and I cant really do anything from our
perspectives and I am sure Jim is doing everything possible to bring the site back up to snuff. Please remember it
is a Holiday though. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

The site is obviously having some technical difficulties. Hopefully Jim will get things squared away soon. It looks like everything is up and running, but the old posts aren't showing up. I'm sure we'll get an update as soon as info is available. Thanks for your patience.

Very skeery tonite, only a few of us can get on Oldgas.. are we the chosen ones???..LOL.. we must have the proper frequency??

I wonder what everyone else is doing?? I can just imagine poor old Doc from the American Garage.. stuck photographing Polish models instead of getting to hang out on Oldgas.. what a bummer!!

Hey 2Tone do you think we should give out the frequency????

The forum crashed yesterday. A lot of topics and some member registrations were garbled up. I have rebuilt from the broken pieces the best I could. Looks like most, if not all the topics came back, but some member registrations have been lost in the Twilight Zone.

*** If your user name and password are not working, I suggest re-registering as I can't rebuild any more than I have done. Sorry that you will lose the numbers that are shown with your user name on topics. Sorry that this happened at all, but computers, even heavy duty servers, do unexplainable things sometimes.

All this happened while my power was out at my house for over 40 hours after a severe storm. I spent the day yesterday chopping on three trees that were laying on the power lines or were otherwise damaged. Still a mess out there, but at least power is back on. The oldgas server is not here, so there is no connection between the two incidents. Only that I couldn't get online while I had no power. I'm thinking about buying a generator now.

This is what happens when you don't pay your yearly dues. $25.00 is what I pay every New Years day. Its cheap compaired to what you learn on this site. Its better then using two soup cans and some string. pull it tight Hubba.
