I just picked up a "Service Station Air Compressor" there is a "Wayne" decal on the 80 gallon tank, but I didn't give that much thought to it figuring that Wayne probably stuck their sticker on an Ingersoll Rand compressor. Then when I broke it down to get it into my truck I noticed on the 2 stage compressor itself that "Wayne" is cast right into the compressor. Anyone run across one of these before? I would estimate it to be from the 60's, it is in great shape and has been rarely used in the last 20 years but it has been kept up with a city certification on the pressure tank.

Photos later if anyone is interested.

Thanks,

Jimmy S

There is quite a lot of Wayne Air Compressor literature shown on my website: www.petrocollect.com

You can go directly to the Air compressors at: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/wayne%20ac.htm

This is only a small fraction of the Wayne Air Compressor literature I have, just need a model number.

Here's a few pictures, had to dismantle it to get it home, so just cleaning it up and getting it back together. If there is any "service info" or shop manuals out there for this model I would really like to know.

Thanks,

Jimmy S

And we're up and running! (yes, I have the guard and it will go on)

Just need to replace the belts, boy this compressor is surprisingly quiet compared to my newer CH compressor that is soon to be gone.

I've seen some of yours Ed! Good thing you work on Miniatures, NOT enough space to work on Full Size Pumps.
