This flying A looks too good to be true. Did they ever reproduce these in fiberglass. The seller seems to think it was made in the 70s and fiberglass. (The round part is 4')

YES they did reproduce them in fiberglass

If I remember correctly there was a blue jeans brand that was using the fiberglass flying A signs for advertising.

Some Tidewater stations used the fiberglass "button" signs... We had on on the side of our building in '65 and '66 ....

We (my Dad and I) tried to get it after the merger, but the majority owner in the station took it and hung it on his barn for 40 years until his death in 2010.... Not sure what happened to it after that...

PS: it was definitely original, as Tidewater Oil contacted the sign Company to hang the sign....
