hello ALL,

Just a quick question. Will 13.5 lenses with the notches cut for Capco fit on a glass body with the screws? I just got the body but my lenses are in Houston. Any help is appreciated.

They will normally fit although you may have to use smaller screws depending on the size of the notches. I have seen many Capco lenses that are chipped at the mounting holes due to screws that don't fit.

What Bill said....and lenses that are cracked from notch to notch. Be careful or you might end up with a Jarvis Special.

Ryan:

Just lay the body down on a towel and then carefully set one lens on the face. See if you can drop in the mounting screws easily. If they drop in and the heads sit flat on the glass faces - you're golden.

If you can't get the screws in - then the notches aren't deep enough for a glass body.

Also make sure that the lens won't 'rock' on the body. Some lenses are a little 'flat' and won't sit all the way down around the edges on a glass body. If this is the case - DO NOT try and install the lenses on the body. Just give it up an put them on a Capco.

If you desperately want them to go on the glass body - and the notches are not deep enough - you CAN have the notches cut deeper. Contact me for further information if this is the case.

Later . . .

Jim
