Hi,
One of the newest members here as of today. I will be asking for a lot of insight here on this project that I will be discussing. I bought a Tokheim 225 vintage gas pump. The reason? My dad would have pump gas from this exact pump when he was a young man. My first question is this: on Ebay right now is item #270905357540, where would I get those decals around the glass cylinder and also the one Tokheim decal on the main body? Any help would be very appreciated. Also is there anyone that would have any pictures of how this pump would have look, if the owner of the shop sold Standard oil in the 30's and 40's? Thank you so much

By the 40s your pump was 18 years old, probably not many of them were still in use.

For pictures of the 225 check this page out: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/tokheim%20199.htm

I am from Kinde, Michigan just 7 miles south of Port Austin, which is at the tip of the thumb of michigan. I see that you live close by Kalamazoo. I see by your signature you are into Standard oil; would you happen to have a good red standard crown for sale? Also are you are farmer? I am somewhat, but also work out to make the ends meet.

John,
I have a couple red crowns, but don't want to sell them, at this time.
I am not a farmer, but grew up on a farm, called Honey Creek Farm, and just came up with this as a catchy name.

Just wanted everyone to know that I appreciate everyone's help here on giving me some places to located items for my pump. I am making a last request if anyone else would have some leads since this item will be off of ebay. Here are a few more questions that I would like some opinons on:

1. Is this somewhat a rare gas pump?

2. What would be the average value of this pump if it was for sell(just curious, would never sell it)? It has the original glass and hail screen, most the the top parts are there,no globe, the guts of the pump is there, the bottom skins are there, but will have to be replaced.

3. I talk to someone and they said that if some of the parts were hard to duplicate I would have to find someone with an English Wheel to duplicate those parts. What is an English wheel?

Here is my orginal posting:
