Hi All

I want to remove touch up paint from this horse I bought in a pacakage deal. Paint remover and mineral spirits did nothing.

Will heat/flame work if i contain it to the red paint and keep the metal cool? Any thoughts.

Thanks

Paint remover didn't work? Odd!

How about 4"0" (0000) steel wool and some liberal lacquer thinner?

Did you try aircraft grade paint remover? Longer it sits the better. Sorry but idk about heat. I never tried it.

Enough heat to affect the paint will be too much heat for the porcelain. It will travel from your torch outward via the metal.Go to the hardware store and get some gel paint stripper, it will take it off.

Yeah some heavy duty paint thinner/ paint stripper should work without harming the porcelain.

Nice horse. I wouldnt use heat. It will expand the metal and could pop the porcelain.
