Looks like a whole rack of those Sunoco oil bottles that were questioned on here a while back. These look pretty old/original with the yellow tops.

to allow the light to shine through. there is a panel on bottom that held 4 light bulbs. it was to show the puity of the clean oil served as light up branding as well.

There are four light bulbs inside that light up the letters and the oil bottles.
