This sign ended yesterday but I was wondering if others thought it was real or not. I have been told that these signs have be reproduced for a long time so is there really anyway to tell without having the sign in your hands?
I guess it is the reserve was never met yesterday so I assumed it ended.
Also after looking through some old threads I believe this sign was porcelain orginally because the white looks different in the painted tin version of this sign so I think it may be fake but I could be wrong.

Without having this sign in my hands I would call it a fake. I think the final aucion price of $270 shows others are avoiding it. I witnessed a single sided slightly larger version sell for $1800 at last years Monroe swap meet.
Hard to tell. Grommets look too small, but font looks dead on. They did make that sign painted originally. Most painted repops don't look that close to original. I'd like to know what others think.
If unsure walk away...with this version its hard to tell....if I have a slight suspicion its not real I wont own it because everytime i look at the item thats the first thing that comes to mind.
The most valuable commodity I know of is information-Wall Street
Yea I am just going to walk away from it because I messaged the guy to ask some questions and he will not message me back. Personally I looked at it for about 30 mins and just cannot tell. If its real its a GREAT deal but as far as I can tell no one else thinks its real ether otherwise it would be gone.
