Just these 2 pumps for me, but man are they nice! A Wayne 60 wide body and a G & B 80, both in original unmolested condition and stored inside in a dry building for the last 40 years! I'm Cheezed!
Photo is where I first laid eyes on them!

Hello All,
I haven't posted any buys for a few months, but I bought several nice items in the last couple weeks so wanted to share them along with a couple older ones since my last BOTW post. I think the neatest item is the scarce Mobiloil Special display. It's one of those old motion lamps that spins from the heat of a lightbulb. It could sit on the countertop or be hung on the wall. I bought it from member porcsign and it was the only one he had ever seen. I may have seen one in photos of a collection once, but I doubt there are too many in existance!

The next items are cans I've added to the collection. The instant Marathon collection was from Aaron Hop. The scarce 5 quart had it's own thread, lol, the Hydrotone was a version I didn't have, while the Freezone is a duplicate but was too cheap to pass up! The Standard Lubrite is a scarce can and was poorly listed on Ebay. I bought it for $6.50 and it cleaned up nice enough to fill a vacancy in my collection until a more minty one comes along. The "PRODUCT OF A" blue Lubrite can completes my collection of blue Lubrite cans as far as I'm aware, with 8 different versions on my shelf.

Next up are a couple signs and a Mobil restroom mirror. The mirror came from Dave (warriorgas) and his daughter Kelly. I picked it up at their place in early December and it's always nice to visit with them. The Mobiloil shield is dated 1946 and don't come up for sale too often. I was happy to finally get one.

The Dixie one pound grease can is the other item I picked up from Dave and Kelly. I was telling Kelly how I didn't have any Dixie items in my collection and was surprised I haven't ever found anything locally since it was a very popular brand in Hillsdale County in the 20's and 30's. Low and behold the day after I bought the can I found the 1936 calendar top at a local shop, from Lewis Oil Company, the Dixie distributer for the area. I have a 1927 ad listing locations of over 20 Dixie stations in Hillsdale Co. It was neat to find the go along item for the can. The Gulf Gleam and the banks were local mall finds.

And last but not least, are a couple boxes of 1930's Tavern birthday candles, a 3 year safety award pin, and the Magnolia territory credit card that shows both logos during the transition years. I think that card completed the variations of cards I needed.
Have a good one,
Darin

Here's my recent Cities Service buy that I was lucky enough to add to my Cities Service collection! I've been looking for one for quite a few years, and this one's just about as nice as I have seen and pretty close to NOS.

Finally got this 60" double sided porcelain sign I've been chasing. The colors and gloss on this sign are incredible. Both sides in the same condition with original ring/hanger.

I would call this sign a 9.5+ condition.

Went over to my neighbors to check out his new street rod project and noticed he dug this wayne 70 out of the corner ( He had it hidden from me). He said it was in the way and was for sale. I went home and brought over some negotiating material and my dolly cart. I didn't argue with him and rolled it over to my garage for $400.

I have no idea why the Pure badges were taped up. However, after a date with the hair dryer, they are looking fine!

Rob--Terriffic Cities Service sign! I chased one like that for years until one day when I walked into an antique store and there it was! About the same condition as yours too. Hard sign to find in really nice condition like that! Congratulations!

Mac, your Kaiser sign is got it all, condition is there, but I would be real careful where you hung it, looks like the door to the garage opens towards the sign and that if someone "flew" in there one day on accident that the beautiful condition of that piece may be in jeapordy. I have kids and a grankid so I always expect the worse. Just be careful........

Thanks Roger. I took the pics before we got it level. It is level now. I don't have any kids or anyone to worry about with the door. You can see it in the photos if you look closely, but there is a ledge that sticks about about 2 1/2 inches at the floor level so the door, even if it swung open hard, would stop about an inch short of the sign. I was concerned too, so I checked that out before I hung it there. Based on the size of the sign, my options for location were very limited. I am very happy to have this sign!

Mac

Nice GULF additions Bryan! I always liked that GULFLEX sign very much. Just don't see them too often. Does it have a year?

One of those "until a better one comes along" signs.
Fits right into the one sided flange section.
