It seems that this thread is "losing steam"... So I will move on to the next phase....

In 1954 the Tide Water-Associated Oil Company came to an end. But the announcement didn't "reach" the public until the end of 1955... The "Associated Oil Company" name after 53 years; came to an end. At the same time, the Tydol brand name also came to an end...

This new Company was named "Tidewater Oil" and it's "slogan" really became it's identity...

"Flying A Service" or the shorter "Flying A" became the identity of the new Company; all over the United States...

Really? It would be fantastic, to learn a "history" behind the image... If I remember correctly, I bought a copy of the photo a few years ago... But, know nothing about it...

Jack, by chance can you supply any info for myself and the Membership, about the Driver and/or the Depot?

I know that AL, loves the image.

and the pinups, take care, there are some reproductions from germany ( originals are easy to spot, the signs are flat and the reproduction have the edges rolled, the originals have a green back )

and one of the reproduction, you can see easyly the sign is not flat but a bit embossed
