So i have read some older post about cleaning FilPruf bottles and i tried some the methods mentioned but they just didnt give me the results i wanted.

Here is my before picture:

So i had a mess to begin with but i found some great methods and ideas to use.

I used a can of brake cleaner and shot it into the filler hole and splashed it around until it was dirty and then repeated. I then used dawn to get the oil residue out. Next i put some window cleaner in it to make it not streak.

The spout was the fun part. I tried lemon and salt, but it just to the white spots off. I didn't want to bead blast it cause then they look too new IMO. So i got the scotch-brite pad and some bar-keepers friend and worked and worked until i was happy with it. Wanted to leave a bit of patina on it.

Here is the after photo:

Think it turned out decent.
