I am working on a boyle dayton # 51 and I need to replace the pump handle. It has some sort of key slot on the top where access to the bolt would be. Where can I get replacement? I have the pump about 90% apart right now. I am trying to decide what colr to powder coat it. I think was originally a Richfield colors.

sorry that you haven't received more responses to your questions. There are many guys here that would love to have an id tag, and dial face in that good of condition. I'd just try washing them off, and using a little wax on them. I think they'd clean up pretty good.

If they were common plates you may have got more response. I would hate to suggest something that went wrong and you cann't replace them. Don has the best suggestion. On some of the common plates, I've use a very fine sand paper to work the bad places and then clear coat them. If they turned out bad I just replaced them. Richard

Because your Dial Face is Brass, I'd do a diluted solution of Muritic Acid to remove rust stains [gas mask, rubber gloves & Eye protection], neutralize w/ Baking Soda mixed w/ water, rinse & wax.
