i am restoring a wayne 60. i don't have the front and rear flat panels but will have a local metal ship make them. the twist connectors, that hold these panels on, are still installed in the frame rail. my questions are: do i just drill round holes to accommodate these connectors or are they slotted holes? also, how do i install the second panel as the side panels are screwed in from the inside and once the first flat panel is installed i cannot get to the backside of that panel to install the connectors? help. thanks.

The holes need to be in the exact right place and are kind of a complex design. It would be much easier and cheaper to just buy repops that are made by pretty much all of the venders.

wink Ryan is right. You can buy repo panels MUCH cheaper and the slotted holes will be in the exact position for the fasteners. The fasteners are also available from the suppliers. You put the side panels on first, then the front and rears will go on over the fasteners with springs. They will be sticking thru the slotted holes part way. Grab with pliers, pull out and twist to hold the front and rear doors on. I would suggest a particular book called Guide to gas Pump Restoration, if you are a beginner. Chapter 7 is devoted to restoring a Wayne 60 specifically. Good Luck! and have fun.
