Going to order a reproduction globe for my first tank I bought a few weeks ago. I have found several places to order from. I was wondering what else I will need to buy to mount globe? It looks like there is a (collar ) of some sort to attach it that I will have to get. Do I have to get a bulb socket to place inside or is that something that usually comes with it? Any recommendations to order from? Thanks Travis

Travis,

A picture of your pump would help.

You will need one of these..

As far as the lighting there should be a light manifold in your pump that will need to be re-wired and possibly new sockets installed for the globe to light up. Hope this helps

It's a tokheim 39. I got a photo posted in the showcase forum. I haven't figured out how to post a photo on here from iPhone and I'm out of town without a laptop.

I believe you will want to use a 6".

As far as the rewiring of the lights if you open the door and look to the top you should find a manifold like one of these. It is pretty basic to put new wiring in these. I use new sockets as well that can be picked up at a local hardware store. I have not done a Tokheim 39 so I am sure the experts might be able to help better.

Probably a 6 inch. Depends on the size of the base of the globe you are going to use. Most all repops are 6 inch.

Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.

Have you taken the round block off cover off of the top panel yet? It will have 4 screws. All Tokheim 39 shorts and talls that did not have a globe holder will have this cover. You will find inside under the cover a factory socket for the globe. It will have either a crimped on cardboard cover over it, {usally on the shorts like yours} or it will have a screwed on steel cover with 3 screws. {usually on the talls, but have found them on the short 39's also}. Hope this helps. Let me know. Greg.

No I haven't taken it off. I'm out of state at my new home away from home working. Was wanting to order a globe so I would have it waiting for me at home when I get my week off. Ill check it out when I get home though. Thanks
