Hi all, I am new to the group but needed some help with a can I have purchased. Has anyone seen one like this before ? It has a pressure relief cap on it with a spring on it . I have look everywhere I can trying to find a pic like it but have found none. Can someone help me ????

HEY KENTUCKY......THE OLD GLASS KEROSENE TANKS FOR HEATERS WERE SET UP WITH A SPRING RELEASE LIKE YOUR CAN HAS.........??

Rex is correct.

The old Kerosene heaters took units like this one. So did the Kerosene stoves. You filled the can and the spring kept the seal until you turned the unit upside down and installed it in the stove/heater. Kinda like the modern day water dispensers.
