Not talking about email here. Talking signs cans and other collectibles. I have had two packages lost in 4 weeks. The one the seller is refunding the money. I don't want the money I want the sign. The other a Standard Penn mint can. Got it cheap had it insured but you have to wait thirty days to file a claim. The hell with the money where is the can. Getting neighbors mail all the time all screwed up. I called the local P.O. and all they said is we will mail you a form to fill out to give to the postal inspector. We will investigate. Sure right after coffee break if lunch isn't going on. Now I have a pump plate coming mailed last Friday 5-2-03 priority three day. No show as of yet. Anybody else out there with screwed up deliveriers by the U. S. Post Office?????? Don't the carriers read or at least speak English?????? Ted

I have a mailbox and a P.O. Box and I've been using the P.O. Box but the last sign I got they said they were going to send it ups and you can't use a P.O. box and they
changed it to USPS. Everybody is screwed up. Ofcourse not us guys. Ted

Good one Dwaine..... Ted I don't know if UPS is any better.... I couple of years ago I got a 6'x1' WANDA OIL verticle sign off ebay and when the lady sent it from Oklahoma it was still 6', but by the time it got to me they had folded into thirds and wrapped alot of heavy tape around it. Fortunately there was another one on ebay a few weeks later that was just as good. I still can't figure out what they did it for.... it just makes no sense.

I have had good luck with the post office... i also live in a small town outside Evansville and the postmaster knows me now and i just call her and tell her when i have a package coming and she keeps it there for me to pick up. I do know stuff coming from Canada sucks... there mail is worse than ours. I know Gary Drye has had good luck with UPS. LOL Sorry Gary i had to put that in there.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I have much better luck with USPS than UPS. Most problems are caused by poor packaging.

Ted, are you sure the sellers actually sent your items?
Bob

Ted,
I have had quite a bit of problems with the usps. Many many lost packages. I mostly use ups now and havent had any problems, nock on wood. Their tracking number system is a huge help too. Ryan

Thanks for all the input. Yes number three package is in postal limbo. The tracking system for the Post Office sucks unless it's express mail. They told me Yes the package was sent. That's it. The first sender mailed me my money back as he was self insured. The second sender goes to the P.O. tommorrow as the thirty days are up. The last sender shipped on 5-2 and we are giving it two more days and they will refund my money and they will take care of it all. Big deal. I want the goods. I hunt high and low and like everyone else out here when we finally get something thats the really good price we make our move. I let other stuff go by cause just don't have enough money to get everything. So when the stuff gets lost or stolen is really sucks. Oh well such is life. Ted

Last Gas is right.Poor packaging is the #1 problem.Remember these boxes are riding hundreds of miles in semis. With all the pot holes in the roads if your package is on the bottom with hundreds of pounds on top it better be well packed. If not your playing the odds.V-MAN

I have been very happy with FEDEX GROUND. Their rates are much lower than ups, and they seem to be faster.
