Looks like a repop to me. There's a lot of this style sign on ebay.

Sorry to confirm the bad news - but definitely new. It's been mentioned many times on this site - but if you are new at collecting - I would just refrain from buying any sign that is 11 3/4 - 12" round until you learn the differences and get more comfortable.

I totally agree with this....11 3/4" seems to be the standard repop size. I also notice on these Red Crown plates how the top of the crown looks funky.

Page 60 in the Vic's 66 catalog. Costs $20

Get a few reproduction vendors catalogs to have around when you go shopping. Knowledge is KEY!

FYI- You will never have an original red crown pump plate in front of you, because one was never made. Decals were used originally,so dont try your luck on another.

Get the vendors catalogs or view their web sites to see what is Readily available & what they sell for. Don't Believe everything a seller says about finding them in Grandpa's Barn/Garage!

Most likely you used PayPal for ebay purchase, File a complaint w/ PP & get your money back, even if seller says NO RETURNS.
