How you doing folks. I have had a fry 17R visible pump in my garage for the past 10yrs and am finally going to retore it. Its a 5gal. original glass with no cracks, original hose and nozzle, pump and handle and has all the original tags.It has surface rust but can be cleaned with a sand blaster. The only thing I dont have is the globe on top and the electric conduit handles on the sides of the glass cylinder are rotted. My question is how much is this pump worth the way it is now and after it is restored.Thank you.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say $1,500 to $2,000. As has been discussed much on here it does depend on where you are located and who you are selling it to. I bought a Fry 117 last year for $700 with a broken cylinder and it needs some parts and was happy as heck to get it. Yours is a 5 gallon so that is even better in my book. These are unrestored values. Lets here what others have to say as this is only my opinion.

Restoration Depends on how much you value your time & the QUALITY of the restoration. Some guys charge $15 per hour, others charge $50+, & do less quality. db
