It probably has a technical term, but what I am referring to is the piece that would sit on top of a pump held on with 3-4 screws and a globe would set in/on it, also held on with 3-4 screws. Is there a standard size for these or vary from pump to pump? Thanks

Your terminology is correct. Usually the common size is 6 inches. Standard Oil used quite a few with 7 inch globe holders. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
