I Need help with a 1936 42"x 48" Mobilgas two sided sign, with White Star shield.
My sign has small clean holes around the flying red horse, with a few medal clips and small glass electrical electrode's in some of the holes.
The sign has a navy outline around the sign verses red.
My question is do you think this had neon, and would it been form the factory?
Thanks for the help, I'm not able to have photo's at this time. Thanks Again, Butch

Most likely factory neon. I have seen the sign you are talking about with neon on it and it was an original.

Here's a variation, but I don't think this is the one you are describing.

I would have to agree. The clips & glass holders would of held the neon in place. There is a nice example in poor mans pic.

Thanks guys for your reply's.
The sign I have has the holes only around the flying red horse.
My next question Is would It be worth It to have Neon put back on It?
The sign Is in very good condition so what would a ball-park figure be with neon????
Thanks for all the help!!!

Absolutely worth it and probably around a thousand bucks, maybe less depending on how much bending and where you live.

Neon signs are worth substantially more with working neon and almost always justify the cost of replacing the neon.

Here's my favorite:
