How many of you guys have a pocket note pad and write down names and numbers? I have to or I forget ,today is one of those days I guess it was worth it . I had a farmer months ago approach me about a Sinclair sign he had that I may be interested in , which came from the little vine store and grocery, which was a little township that had a one room school and a church that is still a active small church today, everything else is long gone. Signs outside your buildings seem to be good advertisement that you may be a buyer. Today we finally got to go look at it and we were luckey enough to purchase it , its pretty rough but it is two separate signs back to back , the frame is pretty rusty also, the best part is he has lived in this area for 75 years and told me the exact location where the gas station once stood as he remembered in his early years . He said the state was mowing a few years back and found the edge of it sticking out of the roadside bank and told him ,and it was dug out , I guess porcelain really is pretty tough. I am tempted to ask permission and get a metal detector as I wonder if there is more possibly in that ditch, but we had fun. Just wish we could have dug it up. But we have had a great week .

I have an Oils sign like this one also. From what I can recall, I never saw another one this size untill you posted this picture. All the ones I have seen before said Gasoline on the bottom.

This is my first Sinclair stripe sign I have had, thanks for the information on it, I really enjoyed your Sinclair collection and the story of your grandfathers bulk co. Quite impressive! thanks Wes.
