hi all
I've got a future Shell branded visible in the pipeline and wanted to bring it back to how it was... under the significant amount of layers of paint i found the impressions of the shell logo but also found two holes positioned in the panel at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions.
Couple questions:
* were Shell pumps using painted or enamel signage on visible pumps?
* whichever type was being used, which version/style shell logo was being used on a 1920's pump..
* does anyone reproduce curved shell signs to suit? , if not painting i think will be the way..

cheers
Martin

Randy... was thinking that originally before i started to remove the paint and found the shell impressions.....it ends up the holes would be on the most wide sides of a shell logo.

I have never seen a curved Shell pump plate. Matt Alvarez would know. Dave
