Picked up these 2 850's. The red one to the right is about 4 inches shorter than the other and just seems to be "smaller". the faces are the same, as are the bezels, but the body is just a little smaller. any ideas on this? chuck

Wouldn't surprise me if it had some rust at the bottom and it was easier for the restorer to just cut it off than repair it.

But for all I know, that might have come that way.

Just like yours, I had two several years ago and one was shorter. Both had original paint but if I remember right, one had holes drilled in the skin and the other didnt. I like the holes so much that I layed them out and drilled them. Also, one had an access door and the other did not.

I do not not it all or much about the 850's, but I love them! They had both 46 and 48 inch skins. The pump on the the left is an early pump as I understand it because it has the visi and nozzle on opposite sides. Serial will tell the tale. Wait till you get the 'square pump'. There are two. One square and one rectangle. I have a rectangle that was 48 inch and needed skins and they are only made in 46 so I cut the pipes to make it 46. (but kept the original skins). Some different visi's, some steel parts as opposed to cast etc. etc.
