I am going to do this pump back to Flight, and was wondering if anyone had any original pictures of what this pump may have been painted or the way it was painted. This just looks like someone had too much to drink and started painting lines.

It is just the way I found it. Seems like I am sending everything to Denver and Texas.

Craig you don't have to send it anyplace. I'll come get it and store it for you for 30 years then you can have it back. It will look good in flight. The two pumps I have found in flight were solid red, sorry I don't have any pictures. Richard

If everything is going to Texas, I must have been gone when they tried to make my delivery! No help on the Flight, but some very cool items in the background.

The pump looks like it had a vertical stripe scheme of red/white/blue that is pretty much faded out. But there is blue paint on the Flight decal, so I'd guess that it was repainted with the stripes after its life as a Flight pump. PCMs Guide to Gas Pump Restoration shows Flight Motor grade gas pumps were solid red from 1935 - 1946.

Yes I have found that solid red in a couple of pictures and one in a Red, white, and blue stripe. Big Stripes, page 167 of Fill er up.

Craig..... I know this is earlier than your pump, but it might give you some insight into the different ways Flight painted their pumps.
