I am not sure, but I believe that this is a Fry gas pump top. It is 18" across and I think it would be for a 13 5/8" cylinder. It is cast iron and I am going to put it on ebay but do not want to misrepresent this as the wrong part for the wrong pump.
Thanks

They did have a cast top for the 10.I don't believe the one shown is cast.I could be wrong. It looks like a stamped top.

You got me Mr. Bennett,
Not on a ten gallon though ! LOl Moved more than one cast iron 17, but I'm getting too old for "pump rassling". Back in the day I could lean one of those bad boys over on the tailgate of my dad's long bed Dodge and let it gently rest on two tires and shove it right up in there. Not today though.
Dave
PS What happened to the Weaver photos ? Got you on that one !

VERY FEW even know what a WEAVER BRAKE TESTER ARE, let alone what they look like.
Have been busy with REAL WORK.

Just wait till ya get to move a BOWSER 300 or a DAYTON 50 by Yourself, then you'll know what HEAVY IS!

Work ? WTH is that ? I have been 18 feet up on a scaffold all day building boxes at the bottom edges of the roof on the gable ends of an 1870 Victorian. I'll leave you to the Bowser.

Then what is it? It sure feels cast to me, and about 3/16" thick.

I'm with Craig! Cast iron all the way. Stamped steel doesn't have that texture and wouldn't be that thick or heavy. You hillbilly states have weird stuff!

Cast iron is pretty easy to identify. Texture, sound when tapped with a metal object, mold lines, etc. if I had it in my hands...
Having worked in a foundry for 14 years...it would be tough today to pour a casting that large and that thin.

Ok.That was aimed at me after we had a little fun about the top.I guess Fry used several versions.I see my stamped top is made a little different and I have a cast iron version that is a lot different.I can post pics later if interested.Have a good weekend! Thanks

I usually learn something from these posts and I appreciate all the input. You never know what is out there. Just when you think that you have seen it all...
Thanks,
Dave
