Hey Randy, all I know is it was used in the 20's and is one of only a few known to exist. I assume it predates the more common shield globes by a few years. I would like to see a pic of your sign. If any one else has any knowledge or vintage photos with that globe I would like to know.

Hey Greg, upon further review sign looks like it matches your lens except the sign has a eagle above "the gasoline of power"..

Really nice globes and lenses! We have very few examples of that over here in Sweden, mostly one piece globes... br Claes

Thanks for the pic Randy. That's a great sign. Didn't know that one existed. There is a globe that matches it on scott's CD listed as the only one known! Here's a few more pics of some globes and signs.
