So I have to tokheim 39 short pumps. I picked up my secon pump this week another 39 short that I plan on restoring for my parents. It is rough missing doors , face plates and access door. I assume this is older than mine since it has the access door opening. I see that is how you open the doors I assume. Any ways I am wondering if the doors interchange and could be on either pump? And I not did the older version also come with a spot for ad glass? Hopefully that's makes sense. Thanks Travis

Short Tokheim 39's with hinged doors (have an access door on the side to reach in and unlatch door) were made from 1947-1959.

Tokheim 39's with the lift off doors were manufactured from 1952-1959.

Doors don't interchange as they both are retained in place differently. Ad glasses were available on both styles of doors just below the pump face plates.

Tab,
You are asking questions that can be answered by either having a copy of my Gas Pump Identification book or going to my website: www.petrocollect.com

Just follow thru to you get to the Tokheim literature and click on any of the 39 sites, there are at least four of them. This should either give you pictures to work with or info about literature available for your pump.
