I tried to buy these 2 bonnets on ebay, but I was outbid. I had the idea that I could probably drill them the same as a Wayne 585 bonnet and install some grommets and it would work until I could find the right one? Have any of you drilled thru a porcelain covered metal before? Does it take any certain trick? Heres the ebay # 171020747808 so you know what I'm talking about.

You can drill it. Just go slow. And don't press hard. Start with a tiny bit and go up 1 size at a time. You will have to touch up where the hole is but it'll be under the screw

Kevin, if you want to do a really nice job, go on line or to a local stained glass shop and buy a glass hole cutter. They come in all sizes. Cut the porcelain surface first. Then as Notchcad said drill the hole. SLOWLY! If you can get at both sides, cut the porcelain on one side first, then drill the first small holes to locate the center on the other side. Then cut the porcelain on the other side.
It will turn out super clean.
