Can anyone share the history of the Time Gasoline Company/Time Gasoline Petroleum Products Company?

There is a "small blurb" showing some pump plates in the "PCM's Guide". But, I have not found any info on the history of the Company...

Occasionally on Ebay, one will see a pump plate. Much more often one finds different "drinking" glasses advertised. Such as these:

On the 'web, I found an image of a Time Premium pump plate that sold on "PetroJoe" website:

Anyone know anything about this Company? Did they have cans, ad glass, globes.... etc...?

Bob, They marketed oil in cans. Sold mine awhile back, but found this picture of it in a past post before I sold it.

That is beautiful looking can. Thanks for sharing the image, Dennis!

Mick and Ernest, sent me a link to a Time Oil alarm clock, that is on Ebay...

I've always thought that the Time Gasoline Company was from "my neck of the woods" and what is on the clock tells me that the Time Oil Company was... The colors and logo seem to be close/the same? But, does anyone know for sure if these are from the same Company?

I don't know a lot about the company, but here is a picture of a Full Time Quart Can that my Dad has in his collection.

Camron, I thank you and your Dad for sharing and allowing the image to be shared...

Would it be possible for you folks to check the can to see where the Company is located on the back or side of the can... And share the information?

In Rick Pease book from '94 Filling Station Collectibles pg 111. The Time Gas sign in it has the hands at 10-2. All the things on oldgas are 10-1. I'm
confussed. Help!

Ten and one makes more sense from a design standpoint. Symmetrical means you don't pay as much attention, asymmetrical make the brain take a second look. It the same reason why portraits are usually a little off center.

their slogan was 10 to 1 you won't find a better gasoline, or something like that, the 10 and 2 ones seem to be older signs. There's still a Time Oil road in Portland where the old terminal was

If my memory serves me correctly I think Neil is pretty close. I remember the older logo as 10 to 2 then someone in the company thought "10 to 1 you will love our gas" was catchy and easy to remember and it was changed. That goes a back many years. We have sold a few of their six foot signs over the years but you don't see the six footers very often these days.
