This is a little different so I figured I would share it with everybody.

I have been working on gathering up parts and pieces for this engine combo all winter. I have finally started to assemble the engine.

The new camshaft came in last week. It is a 50mm journal (engine has roller bearings in the cam tunnel) and has 266 intake 274 exhaust duration at .050. The lift is 668 intake and 660 exhaust. One small problem with the camshaft, it hit four rods, #1, #2, #5, and #6. I spent most of the day yesterday clearancing the rods to clear the camshaft.

Here is a picture of the new valve springs being installed with a new tool that I purchased. The springs have a little over 800 pounds of pressure when open and around 400 when closed.

Here is a picture of the rocker arms, pushrods and lifters being installed. It also shows the new timing cover which will allow me to mount the fuel pump to run off of the camshaft. I had the cover powder coated black.

It should be interesting. I hired a guy to put a "tune" together for the fuel injection. He calculated the amount of fuel the engine will consume and figured it should make between 1200-1300 HP. He said I could make much more, but I didnt want to, LOL

The oil pan is back on now. I should have the rest of the parts tomorrow so that I can finish it up this weekend. I am waiting on my fuel pump extension so that I can set my camshaft end play. Then everything can go together.

They are dart heads. Not the greatest, but they have been ported and flowed on a flow bench. They move air pretty good.

Ryan I am ready to see they finished product as well , maybe you can do a Bonzi full bore pass and post it for us , I bet it will be a blast! VROOOOM

If the rest of the parts arrive tomorrow like they are supposed to, I will have some more pictures including a finished engine. I dyno it on next friday. I will take some videos and pictures that day too.
