Looks like a new paper label on an old GI oil can to me. I have seen others made up like this before. One little can even said 1 quart on the label

1st pic you can see at top of the rim the label bowing out from the can...not to mention that really neeto seam on the back...

I sent him an email and here was his response!

Fraud is a pretty harsh word, especially when you are not trying to deceive anyone. I honestly was not aware of the age or origin of this can. I have stopped the auction and I do appreciate your knowledge over mine on this item. Just for the records, I do have a return policy on the few items I sell on eBay, and I do honor it.

Once again the real problem with unmarked reproductions has surfaced. What happens when the item has been sold 2 or 3 times? SOMEONE will believe it is real! SAD!
